Roof Flashings – The Details That Keep Water Out
Flashings are the folded metal trims that seal the edges, joins and openings of your roof. They’re small, but they do a big job: most roof leaks start at a flashing.
NZ Metal Roofing supplies, fits and repairs custom roof flashings across Auckland, folded to suit your roof and fitted properly.

Ridges, hips and barges
Ridge, hip and barge flashings cap the top and edges of your roof. When they lift or come loose they let in water and wind. We refix or replace them with new flashings, lapped and sealed.
Apron and parapet flashings
Where a roof meets a wall or parapet, apron and parapet flashings stop water running in behind. These need the right detail to stay watertight.
Valleys and internal gutters
Valleys carry a lot of water in heavy rain. We replace worn or undersized valley flashings so water runs off cleanly.
Penetrations, skylights and flues
Pipes, flues, vents and skylights all need flashing. We fit back trays and over-flashings that work with your roof profile. See our skylights page.
Custom-folded to suit
Flashings are folded to the shape and size your roof needs, in COLORSTEEL® or Zincalume to match your roof.
Flashing repairs
If a flashing is causing a leak, we can usually replace just that section rather than the whole roof. See our roof repairs page.
